WILDWOOD
ASHLEY WOO
Wildwood by talented writer Ashley Woo is my kind of horror book. It doesn't slap you in the face from page one, but the tension and spooky vibes build until you want to keep all the lights on. Eleanor inherits Wildwood, an old estate passed down from her family. She and her husband decide to move to Wildwood, but they find it needs renovating, and Eleanor's pregnancy makes the work harder. She starts to experience otherworldly dreams. She believes that a prominent family in the community has, or is causing her to have, these dreams, which makes Eleanor wonder if something happened at Wildwood and if the dreams are a path to discover what happened at Wildwood. The reader will stick with the book, realizing what a spooky story the author has written. The book is scary and creepy, emanating vibes that make the reader look around before starting to read.
