HI, I’M STEVE.

I’m a retired middle school teacher in California. I have been enamored with reading since I was a child. I was a poor reader when I was young and had to attend twice weekly tutorial sessions.

The world of crime reveals a lot about who we are and what we believe. Next time you are reading about a kidnapping or homicide, ask yourself: Could you commit that act? Or could you prevent it?

Either way, it takes more bravery and guts than most of us possess—to be the hero or the perp.
