This is the fifth entry in this popular series, and readers are advised to check out the four prior entries before reading this. This can be read as a standalone, but reading the author's prior work in the series always makes the experience more fruitful. This book contains numerous characters, some of whom are well-intended and several who are not. Danger and peril abound with unpredictability. The hero and protagonist, Saffron, is a skilled investigator who has to put up with pests, including one of her colleagues at the same University. Although sexual harassment pervades, Saffron rebuffs it with skill and grace.

There is plenty for the reader to dwell on, so this review will not reveal the plot or the premise. The fifth entry in this well-done series is an entertaining read and is highly recommended for mystery and romance fans alike.
