THE 10:12

ANNA MALONEY

The 10:12 is a suburban train that carries commuters throughout London. This time, though, our hero, Claire, is on the train. That's bad luck for the hijackers. As the offenders act, so does Claire, and by the time the crime ends, Claire has been thrust into the limelight as a hero.

Heroism is not always what the hero thinks heroism should be. And that lesson quickly begins to dominate Claire's life. As the story progresses, the reader is swept into Claire's book-writing efforts, including her communication with her publisher. A trial proceeds, but Claire wants more answers than she is getting. Could this have been a conspiracy, or is it just a simple brown wrap hijack of a train in a metropolitan city?

The 10:12 moves along smoothly, asking questions that most of us never need to consider. Why did I do what I did? Would I do it again? Why don't I feel any closure, even though I am watching the trial? All of this and more await the reader of The10:12: a suspenseful ride that takes the reader well past their intended destination.
